But will a UK Pet Passport be recognised by EU?  It may have all info in it, but if it’s not authoritative for entry into EU there’s another problem.

Cant answer that one sorry.

Apparently not.  I found the following:

You will now need an EU pet passport issued in a current EU country, or a UK-issued EU Animal Health Certificate.

I’m guessing that the UK Pet Passport is not the EU Animal Health Certificate.  That sounds like something extra.  And probably pricy.

If your are travelling to the EU and are not sure then check on the Spanish consulates uk we site.  I still believe if you are on holiday your uk dog passport should be OK for holidays.  Although I have been told there is a new holiday passport available, not sure if this is true.

It’s not true.  Please see above information.  To travel with animals into the EU from UK, you will require either an EU pet passport issued in an EU country, or a UK issued EU Animal Health Certificate.

Is this EU medical health certificate available from your vet and needs to be with their passport.

I believe so, yes.  As the UK issued passport is no longer accepted, you need this extra certificate to bring your animals into the EU
