Sorry for the extra questions, hubby asking me!

Can you tell us the vets please in Vera and we’re you happy with them? Do they speak English too?

I also use the one behind Consum. He’s Dutch and does speak excellent English. The Spanish receptionist also speaks English. Highly recommended.

Hi they are called Vera care I think I’ll check when I get in and message if it’s different- it’s literally just behind consum - they spoke excellent English and more importantly were kind and considerate to our old boy

Thank you, more than good enough for me!

Hi Devo,

From what my vet tells me it had been eradicated here, but then Dogs from EU have bought it back again.

Good item on bbc breakfast this morning about dog rescue and adoption from abroad . The chief veterinarian said that in 2020 there was 3 reported cases of brucellosis in England this year so far over 120 cases . It’s also not an obvious disease to see in the dogs health and behaviour. Hence more checks need to be put in place .

I can see the UK going back to having quarantine laws in the future. It will only take one case of Rabies being contracted to a person via an imported dog and that will be that.

The Imported dogs are not the risk though, they are all thoroughly tested for rabies it’s the Ukrainian ones that were not.
