Hi, Does anyone know what the rules are regarding taking dogs back to the UK from Spain.
I thought it was still OK with Pets Passports, But I think they have recently changed the rules. I have been on the Defra site, not clear, rang them, in a que for hours and emailed no response.
Anyone travelled back with their pets recently and know the currant rules???

Hi
Travelled back last Thurseday, been over for 7 weeks and secured a spanish pet passport early on. Dog had to have additional rabies injection to validate entry in passport, Vet adminstered tapeworm 2 days before travel, entered in passport, no problem at Brittany ferries, document accepted without any problem.

This is correct, must have proof of rabies and tapeworm on passport.
If your dogs have not had their rabies injections already, they will need a blood test first to ensure they do not have rabies before their rabies injection.
