More upsets , Germany out , Belgium out , Spain beaten but still in . Italy didn’t even qualify . It’s nice to see the under dogs doing well and showing passion and fire . I trust that was because they where the best officials for that game and better at their job than some more experienced male colleagues? Funny old world .

Portugal through and looked really good . I’ve got Devmas family gathering with daughters , grandchildren and other kin this weekend in London so Saturday evening big match should be exciting with a packed house full ,left over Xmas dinner and a few bevy’s. 

Sorry to see England eliminated last night. They gave a good account of themselves against world champions France. I felt for Harry Kane and more empathy should have been shown to him by some of the television pundits instead of the usual boring shudda, wudda, cudda. The English team did themselves proud and owe the fans nothing. 

Full marks to the management too. Decent interviews we’re done by them and the provided good insights without going ott.
