Hi, Brand new here love the property here , the pictures look amazing , looking to buy something , still living and working in London but retirement is on the horizon in 3 years time What is it like to live here full time or part of the year ?

Does anyone know anything about the sale of the whole Sierra Cabrera development? I have been looking at property in Sierra Cabrera for quite a while now and I am aware of a dispute between the current developers and some of the residents over the maintenance and infrastructure fees. I just checked Rightmove Overseas and it would appear that the developers have put Sierra Cabrera on the market for Euros 7,000,000....

Hi can anybody in this area tell me if the  mist that drops over Turre, Bedar and through the valley towards Vera playa after 5 in the evening is a regular occurance. I am planning on looking around this area hopefully to buy somewhere here .

I'm currently looking into the 'Golden Visa' as we complete on our property in September.

I have all the information form the Spanish consulate in London but was wondering if anyone had applied for it themselves, or had their solicitor apply for them. Ours has POA.

So pleased I found this forum. Thank you for allowing me to join.

We will be completing on a property in Sierra Cabrera, this September. We are so excited! 

I did try and search the forum for an answer, but it seems to be a while since anyone asked for the area. Apologies if I missed it. Does Sierra Cabrera have fibre optic internet and if so, what provider does everyone use? We will need it for security, so would like a well established network. (one that doesn't dropout).

Also, we will be looking for someone local, to install a couple of security cameras, that are wired to the mains. If anyone has any recommendations for that also, it will be much appreciated. :-) Thank you.

A cheeky request please.

We are currently in the process of applying for our working visas to enable us to relocate to the Cortijo Grande / Sierra Cabrera area. We are looking to setup a pool service company in the area, and although I know we cannot directly promote our company in the general discussion forums. As part of our visa application process we need to demonstrate that we have potential clients arranged before our arrival in Spain.

Once our visas have been approved we will then look to promote our business on the business services page; however, in the meantime would a swimming pool service company undertaking pool cleaning and saltwater chlorinator conversion be of interest to any potential clients in the Sierra Cabrera and Cortijo Grande areas of the Almeria region?
