Hello OW, I have come across many listings that accept pets. Indeed I am living in one atm & hoping to move very soon as this is inland & I want to be nearer coast.
Good luck in your search, I’m confident you’ll find somewhere suitable.

We are looking at moving to Almeria province first quarter of 2021. We are leaving Crete where we have lived for 18 years.
My partner Peter has lived in Spain in the early 1970s for a few years in Logrono and Tenerife, and, with 18 years under our belts on Crete we are not fazed at all by moving (again) to another country.
We are ready to get a battering from the bureaucracy of it all, just as we have been here fo...Read more...

We like Almeria, were there for 3 months last year. We seemed to prefer Vera as didn't feel touristy, yet only a short drive to sea and resorts. It felt more like a traditional Spanish town, but, with the best of both worlds.
We are looking to rent initially, but, we have a small rescue dog and cat and are finding very few options with pets. Looked at SPC in Mojacar as we saw their TV program where the staff took their pets to work, but, sadly not one of their current rentals will accept pets.
Is it generally a problem renting with pets in Spain?
Anyway, looking forward to being there soon.
We have recently moved to rent in a village near Albox from Rhodes (Greece), feel free to PM if you have any questions... we had some issues finding a place that accepts pets online too and were let down just 2 weeks before moving. You may need to rent in a different village or town initially short term as it is easier to find places once you are here. Contact Cora at Shepherds Sales and Rentals in Oria she is lovely has children and pets and helped us.

Thank you very much for your support.
We are actually sorted now, we decided to rent for our first year at Camping Los Gallardos. They have no problems with pets and some very nice static homes for long term rent, with garden space. They have very good reviews so we are quite happy to go there.
best wishes

When we first came to Spain we searched about 8 months in advance , and the ones we fancied were due to be let out again for the summer , of course the other problem is this ,
If you find say 120 apartments for rent , you may well find that only a few are available , you may also find by the time you mention that you have a dog (why rescue is always mentioned I’ll never know )
Calm down I’m only playing lol , I dare not mention that we bought our dog from uk , apparantly it’s not allowed if it’s a pedigree , again I’m only playing , just a local joke charged amongst a few .
Anyway back to the story , by the time u add a dog or two , your choice is suddenly reduced by 90% and yes it can be as much as that .
Although I’m unsure of whether owners will relax their rules to recoup a bit more money , time will tell .
But advice for anyone looking for the same , it’s best to do your search , check to make sure it’s available then mention the pet , it’s works better that way , and ignore the ones that say no pets or maybe pets , we all have our reasons , and people do change their minds .
