Yeah ... you’re not really on this planet are you?  Would advise you to stop swallowing everything the Daily Fail / Excess / Stun tell you and yes, this may come as a shock, but Boris lies.

Spain is independent and Sovereign.  (Hence “Kingdom of Spain” - it’s got a King and EVERYTHING!!) That’s why it makes it’s own laws regarding wearing of masks and movement between regions; it’s also why it’s borders are closed to anyone not a Spanish citizen or Resident....

...

As to “Round 3 of lockdowns” .... ummm .... we seem to have skipped round 2 then, because we came out of lockdown June last year.  Numbers are actually going down here.  Pity the UK will be rocketing back up soon due to having a cretin as a Prime Minister.

The UK vaccine rollout had stuff all to do with Brexit. It was authorized under existing EU laws in December during the transition period so ... yeah, there’s that fantasy down the drain. And per capita, Spain has a higher percentage of its population FULLY vaccinated than UK, so ... yes... sorry to stomp on your fantasy land, but you need a bit of reality in your life right now.

That Sir has got to be the best put down of a Boris loving brexiter ever.

Which part of this latest update to the law do you not understand JT47?  I agree it’s a silly idea in open spaces but the law is the law and if we have to wear it on the beach when alone why are golfers exempt? In fact they are not exempt.

Didn’t realise the rules had changed in this specific case. I’m sure you’re absolutely right and you must contact the golf course or the police to report this flagrant disregard for the law

Actually the autonomous communities are only allowed to make their own laws whilst the state of alarm is active. Usually it’s the Spanish government centrally. Don’t want to get into the argument, just thought I’d point that out.

Interesting point that Susi - saw a report in El Pais this morning that suggested that following the cessation of State of Alarm on 9th May, the only thing that could not be sustained was the curfew.  Regions would still be able to maintain closure of borders

Can't believe you even asked that question,  stupid boy, independent Spain my ass! Due to indecisive vaccine planning by their masters in Brussels, they are about to plunge back into round 3 of lockdowns along with France.  UK on the other hand, due to BREXIT are not!

Absolute rubbish, yes the EU made a mess of it but all the EU countries were able to negotiate their own deals with Pharma companies but decided to go with a block approach which, didnt work, and when the UK made its deals it was still under EU rules as it was during the transition period.

Totally stupid, this has just made sure the tourist industry for 2021 will be the same as 2020.

It is also the Law that in restaurants you should wear a mask except when physically putting food or drink in your mouth. Nobody does that either.

If all the countries had gone their own way as you suggest Ian, those who got there first would have left other countries having to wait for supply.  And where medical supplies are concerned, the countries offering more money for priority service would have had the same effect as well.  Just look how Germany and Israel  bought up a huge amount of masks, protective clothing for hospitals  and respirators and Spain and other smaller countries had to wait for more to be available. Many nurses and doctors here died, probably for having to wear bin bags instead of the proper protection!

The EU is far from perfect, but if we join and buy together it doesn't become like a free for all - the best bid or biggest order wins!  Britain no longer plays fair as we have seen, but there are still British people who do believe in doing so.
