As a dog owner, we have always had to wear a mask. It has never been exempt from wearing one. It is not considered as exercise or sport.

Thanks for posting this Doris, I wasn't aware of the new law, but it says 'at the swimming pool' surely it doesn't mean whilst you are in the water!!!!!????? As I type this I realise what a ridiculous question, but in this world we are now in I am wonder how far the authorities will go.

no Jenni you do not have to wear it in the water but how you are supposed to carry one with you to put on the moment you come out is not explained! Perhaps we will all have to wear those full face snorkel masks in the future to cover all areas.

In Consum Vera Playa car park over the weekend, a person exited car sans mask. Police were there and approached driver, still standing by car, asking where mask was. Immediately it was produced from back pocket and put in place. No no no say the Police, put it on BEFORE you get out - and handed the transgressor a fine to reinforce that. Expensive shopping trip.

I believe that this week they are amending this law because in retrospect it is neither totally logical or practical - so don't panic for the moment folks!

Thanks Alicia, but I bet someone somewhere is producing a water proof one to be worn in the water as we speak.
