Sorry everyone but my flippant remark about Scotland in Europe seems to have caused a bit of debate.
But as is my want I will put in my tuppence worth for what it is worth.
Sorry Bess this was in no way a frivolous  remark it was rude and an uncalled for comment on the Scottish accent, many places in England have poor accents and some even add an ‘r’ in where it’s not required eg I sawr him over there. Another one, if Scotland is so much of a subsidy junkie why did the UK government not support Scottish independence to get rid of this pariah and to ensure that the South of England could support more worthwhile causes? Or does Scotland bring something to the Westmonster coffers after all?
