We have been here for two weeks at our holiday home. We have followed the rules, and since Wednesday have ensured that we have worn masks whenever outside our house. Tonight we observed an number of Spanish of various ages choosing to not wear masks while walking in the paseo and some taking up the whole road while playing badminton in the street. Some people are too quick to criticise visitors from the Uk without considering some of the problems could be due to Spanish tourists.

Morning Grahamerv,

I think you will find that most of us were concerned about tourists coming here, of any nationality. Yes some were more concerned about English tourists because of the handling of the virus there.

Playing in the street is normal here.....and it’s the summer.

As for walking without masks, if you have yours on try not to worry. You are not stopping to engage with them so the risks are low to zero.

On the other hand if it’s so bad maybe you should report it to the Policia Local.

Have a great weekend.

Morning Jack

Thanks for your comment. I’m not concerned about myself health wise, my concern is that if people ignore the rules then a second wave could result in another lockdown and I won’t be able to return in August as planned. Selfish? Probably. I have no problem with people playing in the street, but without masks? I don’t believe they can use the excuse that’s it’s for fitness purposes.

Have a good weekend yourself.

Made up virus? Really? Tell that to the relatives of people who have died.

I’m glad I don’t live anywhere near your vicinity if your mindset is representative

And the Holocaust, man didn’t land on the moon and the earth is flat? Has the sun gone to your head?

Unbelievable!!!.  This forum comes under what is known as "social media" But looking at some of your posts I think that the social bit evades you.  Brusque, rude and opinionated comes to mind.  If you have nothing nice to say then perhaps it is better you say nothing.

Its called freedom of speech!! Surely you've heard of it...my opinion is just that,MY opinion.

If your all being good little Brits and following all the stupid rules then what does it matter to you if some don't?as your theoretically protected.

Less of being busy bodies and more letting SOME people at least try and enjoy themselves!

Still nobody actually gives me a decent answer just go straight to conspiracy theories when confronted with a bit of reality, hey I guess ignorance is bliss for some people

Never mind....

Tourists means all tourists not just British, or Spanish or French it applies to all tourists as we were in lockdown and happy with it, but as you have said some people come into the area and do not conform to the new rules which only applied to wearing mask all the time out of doors from the 16 July, if any break the rule they need reporting to safeguard public health.
