Can someone please tell me why oh why do people insist on taking their dogs out with them everywhere???
It’s worse than having unmannerly children at the next table.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is worse than having children at the next table. People don’t allow their dogs to run around in an unruly manner,

You will find unruly children and unruly dogs in all walks of life, but this is often down to the parents/owners. You will also find people who will complain about anything and everything.
It’s so annoying then say oh his ok he don’t bite! Like getting out an Uzi machine gun saying it’s ok the safety catch is on!

🤣🤣🤣🤣
We've been over this ground before as far as cats and dogs are concerned. You love your dog and there are those who don't love your dog. And there are those people who don't have their dogs inoculated against every disease known to man and usually couldn't care a whit about any human being infect causing illness, blindness, death etc. These uncaring people bring their dogs onto the terrace of many restaurants and immediately park them wherever they wish. The dog growls at children or anybody else and sometimes bites or barks viciously and ownership of the problem becomes a mystery. These people are not dog lovers, they are absolute morons.
Many dog owners are mindful of their pets and the above does not apply to them. They keep their dogs on the leash, have control of the animals, clean up after them and generally are good people. These are dog lovers.
Then there are the waitresses/waiters who throw their arms around dogs kissing them with slurpy human lips and revert to their trade without washing their hands or mouths. Say something in protest and the first retort from them will be (no matter where you're from):- Go Back to the UK.
We have a lady mayor in Mojacar who is in the habit of getting things done which improve the day to day existence of those on the Playa and Pueblo. I reckon it is only a matter of a short time before she has dogs banned from any area of any restaurant/bar. I don't know the bye laws of San Juan de Los Terreros, but those involved will be monitoring the bye laws of nearby towns. Bring it on.
For the record we have two dogs which we treat properly and we are genuine dog lovers. My wife often says "We have friends, but then we look at our dogs" i.e. dogs being more friendly.

Personally, I think neither dogs nor children even come close to the anti-social behaviour of smokers! The sooner Spain has a smoking ban the better.

Nicely said Bryan. But I think if the likes Generalissimo Franco rose again there would be quite an amount to running to bottom drawers to resurrect mantillas for the ladies and running to ground of gay men (and women). Recently, I read a short biography about El Caudillo (or affectionally El Tío) Franco and I now understand why there was not a bottle of cava to be had when he died such was the celebration of many Spaniards on his "departure."
. . . be careful for what you wish!!!!!! - Keep posting though, you give some semblance of normality on this forum.
