I'm getting a strange feeling during this thread on campervans. I don't own one, but if ever we have a few spare shillings around we'll buy one.

OK! Back to the strange feeling bit:- The Scene - Biggles shouting at the Spanish police (in English, natch!) from within his car. The police approach and he continues not to wear a face mask during a dreadful epidemic causing the Policíá to be putting themselves at Covid risk. Still Biggles co...

...mplains about the campervan owners. Biggles avoids a fine with the Policía deeming it not worth their while arguing with a man with nothing much to complain about. Fortunately, for Biggles the Policía also turned a blind eye to him not being in control of his dogs which were running around outside the control of their owner.

Oh! Yeah! The strange feeling bit. I never saw women sitting in the comfort of their cars while simultaneously exercising their dogs. I wonder if there is some plot about with Alicia leading the pack of female superiority? We men better watch out!

And Alan anytime you feel like calling around, you're welcome and you can park the campervan in our driveway. Bring Biggles with you and we'll all have a decent drop of tea or stronger. I'll brew the stuff as Mrs Matthew will be down in the local hall organising Alicia and a few more women in their quest for total female superiority.

sorry you are feeling so threatened Matthew thought you were a big boy seems I was wrong.

. . . . but the big news is:- Alan, James and I are now a formidable team on this forum. That's something nobody would have predicted. Let's hope we can meet in May. But, Covid has a few kicks left in it yet and perhaps our respective governments are not telling us the full story? Remember the South African variant hit the UK last September and it was near Christmas before we got to know of it.

But, good to see Jenni is not asleep and still participating and as usual is full of the milk of human kindness. I'm just wondrin' if James, Alan and I sign up for The Chase would we be better with Jenni or would Alicia be better?

Getting back to the campervans though. What country are they from mainly?

And, what do you think they should do with their rubbish seeing that you're moaning that they are using the publicly placed bins?

Just to put my 2pennyworth in, when the campers owners, park anywhere other than an official site, the are useing the facilities of that town or village that they haven't contributed to. So someone said they use, the public bins for their waste, those bins  are paid for by the residents, and...

... what about their sewerage, do they use the public toilets to dispose of that. I can see only one reason a campervan owner would not use an official site and that is to save money, to park on the side of the road, on a beach or a car park is free, at a campsite they would have to pay.

As mentioned earlier, 99.9% of campers are decent, honest, cleanliving people, obeying local laws. Last time we visited the campsite at Palomares, it was a foulsmelling place, not fit for human occupation.

And, as to supporting local society, we shop at cornershops, Consum, Mercadona , the breadvan etc, and leave the average expat's annual fuel bill behind us every month at Repsol and Cepsa

It does indeed, but daytime is ok (think you picture was taken in daylight?) .

Police do chase campervans away from that area in the evenings, usually when the campsite owners calls them I've been told, (bad for biz). Most campers move on in the afternoons to beaches that are less unfriendly, like Villaricos and further along the coast.

And nope, I've got my own hefty bills, sorry

The problem you have is sleeping in a motor home is not classed as camping in almeria, murcia changed their directives to include motor homes, and publicise the offence on notice boards by the beach. In respect of using refuse bins for disposal, they can use Mathew and mine ibi /rubbish contributions which we have not used and I doubt we'll get a refund.

My God! Biggles - You must not have any problems if it is something like this is driving you insane. If I were you, I'd be thanking God that the extent of my problems would be campervans on beaches.

I got plenty of time spare.Cant always be cleaning, washing, listening to music watching TV and DVD's,taking the dogs out for exercise......   etc....There's limited entertainment in the municipality apart from winding up,swallows, gammons and  generally stupid Brits😁👍🇪🇦🇬🇧
