Why are all these camper vans and mobile homes being allowed to stay indefinitely on the playa. They are really unsightly and it has to be unhealthy, what are they doing with all their waste.I collared the police car patrolling the beach the other day but they didn't want to know. They were more concerned that I wasn't wearing a mask even though I was sitting in the car or my two dogs were running around...😠

1. They have to park somewhere and are not allowed cross borders because of Covid. They are probably as concerned as any onlooker.

2. Did you have full control over your dogs while you sat staring at decent people from the comfort of your car?

3. And rightly, you were corrected by the police for not wearing a mask; you should have been fined.

4. Is it legal for you to exercise your dogs on the beach?

5. I look forward to somebody posting a picture of you and your behaviour on the beach too.

There's a camping site just up the road almost opposite Monika's bar.. they should be parked up there not on our beach carpark..I can't see any law that stops dogs running around in the car park. They are breaking the law I am not.Since when did the law say you have to wear a mask whilst sitting in the car.Guess you are one of the bored Brits that usually mass together in the plaza?

The only thing that concerns me is are they coming from outside the municipality as they seem to be coming from both sides of terreros especially on a sunday when the market is on

I agree Len, here in Terreros they come and go as they please. Very frustrating for the rest of us who abide by the rules.

Biggles you should have more respect for others using the beach and for the police officers you were talking to, no mask 😡, no wonder they didn’t listen to you. You were actually lucky you weren’t fined.

So all these camper van and mobile home owners live in Cuevas del Almanzora then and obviously haven't crossed a municipality boundary then to get to the playa and not broken the law or did they beam themselves directly into there.....?.No wonder the pandemic is out of control in Andulusia....

so agree with you Biggles172 they drive about all over from one area to another and shop wherever they want.  There are proper camping sites in Mojacar and Vera so why aren't they based there and only going to shop for their food at the nearest place like the rest of us are expected to.  We live in Marina de la Torre and at any one time they are parked up on the playa enjoying the beach and so obviously not from the area.  But as there are no checks on any of the roads its not suprising they think it's ok.  The Covid rate has gone up in Mojacar so very reluctant to even go to the shop at the moment.  As for wearing a mask whilst sitting in the car we have seen lots of GC in cars together with no masks worn and they obviously don't live together!!

There is an occasional police car around.... I got stopped the other day on the rotonda at Las Bouganvillas.Wanted to know where I was from and where I was off to,all the car documentation and they even checked all that out by radioing HQ. Everything in order and as I was going to the opticians to pick up my prescription contact lenses all ok. Seems to me they could and should be checking much more than they are doing especially as they can't be in the bars having cafe and tapas at the moment as they usually do....
