Oria Town Hall took to Facebook to share the good news, where they confirmed that 63.3 per cent of invited participants had attended the screening. The town hall wanted to thank residents for attending the screening and for the degree of responsibility that they had shown.
The City Council also thanked the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucia for the interest that had been shown towards the Oria municipality and the special situation that the town is experiencing. Currently a vast number of the Coronavirus cases recorded in the town are due to the outbreak in the local juvenile detention centre.
Mr Juan De La Cruz Belmonte Mena, the Territorial Delegate for Health and Family, and the North Health Management Area of Almeria team were mentioned due to the constant attention shown to the town since the beginning of the pandemic and their involvement in carrying out the Covid-19 screening.
Health personnel of the North Health Management Area of Almeria who carefully carried out the screening on local residents were thanked for their hard work and the sensitivity that they had shown to residents during the testing.
