Also the driving licence issue is not as you suggesting, I have various comments on this and I think that if you have been a resident for some time, it may apply but with regard to those just moving here and for the immediate future, you do not need a Spanish driving licence....

That being said, getting an accountant to cast an eye over your tax affairs will be crucial.  Agencia Tributaria here are very very uncompromising and very unforgiving. 

With regards driving licence, it used to be that once residency was gained, you had 6 months to change your licence - that was when you had equivalency and could swap.

Now of course you can’t swap, and whilst there may be a period of grace once residency is obtained, I don’t believe it is 6 months as UK licences for residents cease to be valid after 31/10/2021 … your best bet there is to contact DGT and find out directly from them - you should be able to search their website which has an English language facility
