regarding the driving licence you have until 31st of October to drive on a UK licence then it has to be a Spanish one if you are a Resident of any kind in Spain

Thank you, I am not a resident yet so that is straightforward. However if someone is applying for Residency from the UK and lets say for the point of this exercise, they arrive with their newly stamped Visa on 1 November, what happens then? Apparently you have to book lessons and tests etc? Just my thoughts here but I think this deadline is for people who have been resident or should have residential status for a period of time beforehand?

Correct - even if you arrive post 31/10, as a brand new resident, you STILL get a grace period in which to swap UK to Spain (i.e. driving lessons with accredited school / test); it’s either 4 or 6 months - I have seen 6 months elsewhere but cannot confirm - DGT can give definitive answer though - just to reiterate, if your residency starts post 31/10, the invalidity of UK licences does NOT apply to you - you have a grace period.

UK licences only cease to be valid for all those who arrived pre 31/12 and had not yet arranged swap of licences.  They were given until 31/10.

Those who arrived post 31/12 on an NLV get the normal grace period to arrange a Spanish licence

Ok, where do International licences sit in this conundrum?

Not licence - Permit.  International Driving Permit, valid for 12 months and available ONLY in your country of domicile - so to drive in Spain, it would need to be issued in UK - you can’t get one here.  That aside, all they are is a certified translation of your existing licence.  Spanish government has stated IDPs are not required in Spain for UK licence holders, anecdotal evidence suggests some individual Tráfico officers take a different view.

There is a company advertising “EU Licences”, valid in any EU country.  It appears this company is a scam company selling fraudulent Polish licences.  You have to be a Polish resident to get a real one legally. Get caught with one of those and you’ll be answering some very direct and troublesome questions; quite possibly from the “comfort” of a Guardia Civil Custody Suite.

Well, every country has a different policy regarding this matter. For example, we have some regulations in the USA that are completely different from the ones in Europe. The most straightforward procedure you can use is to search on google how to make pay stubs, and I'm convinced you'll find what you need. It was the only thing that worked for me, and this platform I found calculates every tax I need to pay. On top of that, it can ease your work by hours. Just one site solved many of my endless problem.
