Well that didn’t work…

I flew in yesterday I have both jabs and all I needed to produce was the Spanish health form and proof of my vaccines.

Hi, we travel back on 30th so do we NOT NEED a test ?. I have started the Spanish health for which I can complete 48hrs before we arrive.

Thanks  Liz

Unless the rules have changed which I'm not aware of if you are flying into Spain and you have had both jabs you do not need a test just your vaccination certificate. Flying into the UK you need an antigen / PCR test with certificate showing results and you need to have booked your day two test and put the details of this on you UK passenger locator form.

Thank you.  That's what I thought.

I am coming out for 7 weeks at the beginning of September.I have an online(paper) vaccination record,N.H.S. but the barcode is only valid for 1 month.I will renew it just before flying out,but as I will be flying back 23 October, will I have to print a new one just before I fly back to UK .

You do not need to print it you need to download your new qr code on the nhs app this has to be within 30 days of travelling

The printout, with the QR code on it, is only valid for a month, though that is for every time you print it.

You could  also ask for a letter to be sent, which takes about a week. This has all the details on it with no expiry date. This can be done via the app.

As Simon says above, you could also save the code on your phone (if the phone supports it).  Lots of options.

We're out soon and taking both.

Martin.

Oh my,  is that the small code on the NHS letter. Only valid a month. I had no idea. Can you renew online or call.  Would we have an updated letter too or would this one we have now do ?   So glad you said that.

The NHS letter has no expiry date, just it's issue date. So that should be good for a while.

The NHS app, from which you can get a QR code (and save to phone or print) is only valid a month, from the moment you get it. You can ask for it loads of times and EVERY time will give a month, so no need to panic.

Martin.
