Hi Sarah,

How are you and the family doing?

Have you managed to get over here yet?

We are now fully papered and legal residents for the next 5 years.

With the NHS paying for our medical care as we are retired.

Look forward to meeting up with you soon.

Hi so lovely to hear from you and that you are all sorted out!

We are keeping well thank you. What about you? Have you settled in now?

We still haven't been out yet but we are booked for September so fingers crossed.

I will be devastated if we can't get out!

Really hope to meet you soon

X

No not sorted out yet ref the house. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to find work men eg electrician, tiler, plumber etc. We just hit dead ends or they are pricing far to high. I am fast coming to the conclusion that they are a bit like the French where they think all UK citizen are made of money !!.

Well enough gripe from me, fingers crossed that you are able to get out here in September. Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Hi sorry to hear that you are having problems. Have you asked for tradesmen on this forum? I must admit that we had no hot water and couldn't find anyone to fix the boiler. My husband Tim went on YouTube to learn how to fix it! You can learn anything on YouTube!

We found the plumber supply shop in Baza really useful but had problems explaining what we need but bought a catalogue from Screwfix in the UK and point to what we need. I could bring you a catalogue if it helps.

My friend in my village uses an English builder and she said he is reasonable and reliable. I could ask her if I could have his number for you. Just let me know

Take care of yourself

Hi how are you keeping?

Well I'm very excited because we are definitely coming in September!! We arrive late on Sunday 12th. It's been nearly 2 years so will have a lot of cleaning. Do you fancy meeting up for a drink at Hotel Lorenzo on the Wednesday or Thursday? If you want to email me at [email protected] and we could arrange.

Looking forward to meeting you

Sarah and Tim

Hi so good to hear from you!

Sadly we leave late on the 24th. Is this the first time you have visited since covid starred?

Hi Sarah

That’s a shame. No, we had a few days about a month ago, it was nice to actually sleep in the house.

Unfortunately, every window in the house had been left open! Very dusty and cobwebby. Managed to get a lot done though,

We are hoping to be down again 6th December for a few nights then 6th January for a week.

Anyway, let’s keep in touch and hopefully we’ll meet up soon.

Cheers

Austin and Tre

Hi it can get dusty! I have dust sheets that cover everything. I wash them every visit using lots of fabric softener so they not only keep things clean but also make the house smell lovely!

If you go in December it will be freezing. We took electric blankets and that made such a difference!

Really looking forward to meeting you one day. Until then take care.

We are finally here in the beautiful village! So good to be back. The village looks lovely with work going on. It's very quiet and peaceful.

Hope to see you soon

Sarah.
