Hi , El Contador is obviously the place to be as I am also in the process of purchasing a house in the village . So I will be very interested in the answer to this and various other questions (such as ...where can you order a load of firewood ? closest paint shop ? someone to service a gas boiler and where to buy the gas cylinder? ) .
Looking forward to meeting you all and possibly enjoying a glass or two of vino at some stage .

We have a house near Chirivel which is not far from El Contador and we use Telplay, which has recently been taken over by Avatel. They are based in Puerto Lumbreros and that might be your first port of call to see whether they provide broadband to your village
We normally buy our Firewood and gas cylinders from local suppliers in Chirivel and the same with the servicing of our gas boiler. There may be local suppliers in your village
