My wife & I are getting very close to the point of starting our non working (NLV) visa application process for our move to Spain, lock, stock and dog!

I am told the procedure/ acceptance can take up to 3-6months, is this correct in your experience?

Just wondering if anyone has gone through the same process and if so how was it? 

Also, did anyone use a visa specialist to help and would you recommend that specialist?

Any help/ advice would be appreciated

Hi everyone I’m glad to be part of this Forum. I already live in Spain in the Cordoba province. We have lived here for nearly 6 years. We are looking to move to the Almeria province hopefully this year . We need a villa all on one level The trouble is I have forgotten the ‘extras’ that you have to pay when you buy and even if I hadn’t forgotten, things might be different now. I'm looking to rent somewhere for 2 or maybe 3 months next Winter (Jan,Feb,Mar). Prefer to be in a low rainfall area so my wife and I can get out and about. We like to exercise and we go walking for about an hour each day. My wife is an artist and is good at keeping herself busy but I need to have things to do. So I'm happy to help out with some painting and decorating, garden maintenance, house sitting or feeding animals etc. We're pretty flexible.

I have a UK passport so not a EU citizen .

Will i be able to gain employment and if so what will i need to do if anything ?
