It's official, as from Monday 24th May, the Spanish gates are open welcoming all British Passport holders on non essential visits and without the need for a negative test result. Japanese people, you can come too.   "Ready, steady..........." !! 😁

For the doubting Thomas' out there

You need to read official information from the Spanish government. At the moment, PCR tests are still required.

Now been confirmed by UK Embassy in Spain that PCR tests are not required if you have spent previous 14 days in UK

The rule allowing people to enter Spain without a negative pcr test has to rank amongst the most irresponsible decisions the Spanish government has ever made. Even people who have had both vaccine shots can still carry the virus and potentially infect anyone they come into contact with.

So that means. That you will always require a PCR test to travel from now on. It has to stop at some point.

Sometime is not now. Does no one remember last summer when people were allowed back in to Spain?

Vividly. And strangely enough foreign tourism accounted for only a tiny percentage of overall infections.  The bigger problem was the mass migration of inner city dwellers to the coastal areas.

I’m sure Dario that what you say is correct but it does not explain or excuse the shear incompetence of a government that would allow foreign travelers (which now appears to include everyone) to enter Spain without a negative pcr test. It’s simple really, if you want to enter spain and mix with others, get tested.  NO NEGATIVE TEST, NO ENTRY.
