Buying property in Illar - Page 7

😂 well we had this conversation in the car ... can’t put my finger on it apart from the yellow shorts (when most people are still in long trousers) but the British (us included) stand out like a sore thumb!

We were talking to a Spanish neighbour the other day and he mentioned that there were more brits buying in Illar - he said we should organise a British night in the bar so the locals can get to know us all - apparently me and the other half are the talk of the town because we’ve bought out in the campo - I think we’ve been labelled the ‘loco ingles’ - did we know about the snakes and rats in the campo?? 😂😂

It’s a very small place - absolutely nothing goes unnoticed! 

Feels a bit loco max - today we’re making snares for the wild pigs that are trying to dig up our trees - last year I was suited up to the nines running a software business, this year catching pigs and planning to bbq it / them! 😳 perfect!

The locals we met were extremely friendly on our last visit...and a get together for a British night(even tho we are from Ireland) in local would be a great idea for everyone to meet .

Our purchase was completed last week, just waiting on the water and electric getting switched on then getting over to sort out a kitchen and furniture and probably a million other things.

It could well have been me,as I am in shorts for ten months of the year! Good luck on  the purchases and delayed paperwork ok! It is worth it ,in the end ! Regards
