Hello all
Can anyone in Illar advise how good or bad the internet/broadband is in Illar and the best company to use. Used to 40 speed in England so I'm not expecting too much... would like to be able to surf the net and watch netflix though 😊 thanks Gill

Hi Gill
We live just outside the village and use AHI (they have a shop in Alhama) - we’re on WiMAX and get a whopping 12mbs 😂 but it’s fine, we watch Netflix and I also work from home. You should be able to get a better speed in the village though! We’ve had no issues with AHI to date ...

Hi Robert here most common one is Schedia 29.90 per month gets speeds of up to 20mbs their customer service quite good when anything wrong hope all good came back for UK visit early March stuck here now looking like September for mi casa take care

Just a note - schedia and AHI are one and the same! Oh Robert you lucky thing getting 20 mbs 😂

That sounds good thankyou, we will be out asap as well, I think we'll be going out on the motorbikes and send stuff with transporter rather than fly. 😊

First time I drove from Scotland to Illar tunnel straight through France love driving fantastic drive furniture belongings following week Luton van jam packed you will love it in Spain hopefully meet up this year covid permitting

We’ve been here just over a year - we sold everything in the uk and moved lock stock - not a second of regret, love it here

Moved over full time Nov18 upper apt. overlooks pool fantastic view of mountain was in process of obtaining medical insurance to meet Residency application covid halted process now can't get back without it until rules relaxed.as for village life made many friends Spanish etc. everyone friendly helpful nothing is a problem anything you can't do yourself is just a phone call away
