Hi Dario

As somebody who plans to move from France to Spain this year - Is it like France was until recently that you fill in a tax declaration annually and pay your tax a year in arrears ?

Marie

I’ll give you a cautious “yes” on that ... my Asesora handles all taxes :-D but I believe that is how it works

Hi Mark

We are hoping to register on the Padron in February too . We have just booked an appointment with our solicitor who says she will check our documents then we can register on the Padron so we can the apply for residency within 3 months .

The detaild i have got is:

Simply go to the padrón office of your town hall and fill in the form they provide. Take along official identification, such as a passport, and also your NIE or residence certificate/card, a recent utility bill in your name, and the deeds to your house or a copy of your rental contract.

Hope this helps ! Good luck !

Tracey

For Vera Ayuntamiento (if that’s where you are registering) if you are renting, you will also need a copy of landlords DNI.  Your estate agency will know this though and should provide you with necessary documentation.

Thanks Dario

We are taking our deeds but don't really like to take the originals . Do you think they accept a copy of our deeds ?
