Morning Jenni; your beliefs certainly align with my own.  It is Pagan in nature, meaning a reverence for all life and a connection with nature.

Wiccan is Pagan in origin, but also adds the possibility of “Witchcraft”.  At this I must point out that not ALL Wiccans identify as witches, and not all witches subscribe to a Wiccan belief system.

This is now becoming really interesting, you seem to have had the simular experience as myself with your heavy church upbringing, I confirm once again that I too heard nothing about being set free, being forgiven of all sins, past and future, and most of all God is a God of love, all was foretold in the Old Testament and Revealed in the New.

I only received the New Revelation by receiving and hearing the voice of God which changed my life some 49 yrs ago, the God of Creation is still working on me as always.

See here we differ, as I follow a more polytheist path; that being said, Wiccan / Pagan is very broad in its beliefs and is accepting of many many different paths.  If you eschew conventional religion and feel close to nature, and a reverence for the sanctity of all life .... that’s, pretty much a Pagan :-D

Conventional religion as seen through the ages being mixed with politics, that's not where I'm comeing from, I'm a followers of God the creator of all things, who chose to touch our lives, if we listened, through a living Christ Jesus, who's Spirit is able to speak to us directly, a personal Saviour.

Yes we do seem to have been introduced  to 'God' in the same way, I don't agree with this way I spent all of my childhood being frightened of this 'God' because of the way it was taught to me. As I grew older I found there are many Gods, but most of them seem to be of this higher being that controls us and looks after us. This doesn't ring true with me, sorry, Jesus Christ might have existed but I think he was just an ordinary man from perhaps a different  dimension or planet even bringing advanced technology with him. I have never found any concrete proof that he or God actually exist. But I do believe there is something that looks over us, I have no idea what, but I am drawn to animals,insects (although most of them make me shudder), I feel actual pain when I see a live tree cut down or a plant dragged out of the earth just because it is in the wrong place, I believe that everything living has a right to life and should be respected. I have never even heard of Wiccans before this post but feel drawn to it. To sum this up I still to this day wear a Cross around my neck, because I am still worried that if I don't something bad will happen, even though I do not really believe, another hang up from my childhood that I haven't managed to shake.I think in the 50's and 60's a lot of damage was done by the Christian church, hence people walking away. You make very interesting comments re the divinity or otherwise of Jesus.  One of the things I found hard to reconcile was that the Bible was not actually compiled as such until 400 A.D., when in a conclave Emperor Augustus? Alexander? directed the compilation of the Bible. Those Psalms tending to show the divinity of Jesus were included, those tending not to show the divinity of Jesus were excluded.  The conclave then voted to ascribe divinity to Jesus.

The Bible was originally in Hebrew, translated to Latin and then translated again as the King James Bible.  In these translations, certain things were missed or confused.

An example is in the King James Bible is says (paraphrasing) “to suffer witches to be burnt at the stake”, yet in the original Hebrew it directed that “a person who uses magic to cause ill to others shall be burnt at the stake”

King James was not keen on those who turned to witchcraft and so in his bible, the bit about “doing harm to others” was dropped and so began a wholesale pursuit and persecution of those accused of witchcraft - many of whom were simply woman who had knowledge of herbs and potions, far exceeding the knowledge of the Monk Physicians of the time ... but the church frowned upon Women having knowledge, soooooooo

Then there was the Spanish Inquisition - torturing and murdering those that turned against Catholicism .....

Organised religion through the ages has seen much bloodshed, all in the name of god.  This has been something I have found hard to reconcile as well, and is yet another thing that put me on the Wiccan path.

Well, as I said previos la Organised Religión has causes so much trouble, when it Turner its back on the te achina of Jesus, this is why I do not coyuntura myself as Religious, I am a follower of Jesus, for told in the old And revealed in the new,

When the Holy Spirit touches so eones life it can be changed for eternity, it does todos actual y come from saudíes, it a personal revelación.
