Gas or electric??

Has anyone any advice on which way we should go for water heating. Obviously we have electric in our apartment but also have other facilities ie gas boiler for heating the water(mains pipe not bottled). there is an option albeit costly to change the boiler from gas to electric to heat the water, my question is would it be more economical for me to heat my water through the gas boiler? Or should I go all electric? Thankyou from a very confused Mrs B

Gas will be the cheaper option for hot water as you only heat as it is needed,

In what property are you, because a lot of people use Solarheating panels and if unsufficient in winter then switch to gas.
