May I ask which airline you flew with? I've had my luggage left behind on several occasions, but the airline has always delivered it to my door when it finally arrived. It seems very unreasonable to have to hire a car and pick it up yourself! I hope it all worked out for you.
Hi, it was Ryanair. However it's not actually their fault - it's the ground crew, namely Swissport at Manchester Airport. Although I do think Ryanair could have told us during the flight rather than letting us find out on landing!
