So think about the British people who have no wish to live in a foreign country as we do, and believe (thats the majority believe) that out of Europe is the best way forward.

The stipulation that you have to have a certain amount of money in reserve is to protect  themselves from hangers on. I do however agree that the amount is unjustified, compared to the  average wage in the vast majority of  Spain. But as with everything else in life, if you can't afford it you make sacrifices to make it  happen if you really want it.

My personal opinion anyway.

As already pointed out Your property is not included but helps by showing that you have a place to live and are not relying on having to rent. I am fully aware of what this site is for having had great advice on various topics over the past by members. So if our solicitor has got it all wrong on the above (recommended a while back on this site) we'll sack her and take learned advice from yourself.
