Hello

My husband myself and my retired father are moving permanently to the Oria area in a month or so.  Can anyone help me with regards to the procedure of getting the padron certificate and residency.  We already have NIE numbers so please can anyone tell us what we need to provide and how long it normally takes.

Thank you

Tina

Hi Tina,

I hope all is well and you´re excited for the move,

I can arrange for our legal team to help you with your residency application, Padrón etc, if you would like?

Look forward to hearing from you

Best Regards

Hi Tina,

Padron is easily obtained from Oria town hall and is free, you will need an electronic (print out) of said document for Residency application along with proof of income which is easily done at present by asking your Spanish bank to provide proof for Residency. I think as a coupe (married) it is around 8,700 euros needed to show in the bank, single person is 5,500 euros minimum.  NIE, passport and copies of required plus a tax form TASA 790 which is 12 euros, EX18 Residency form and proof of health care.  In my case as under retirement age and not employed I needed a years private health care. Shop around if this is needed and if it is then needs paying whole year up front as receipts to prove payment required, plus policy needed in Spanish but make sure you get English copy too for yourselves if Spanish not good.  If Spanish limited then you will be best advised to have an interpreter for the foreign office in Almeria once appointment made there.  Private message me if need further details as just got mine last month.

Income requirements as I understand it are 5.500 € per annum income, or if no income, 9.750 € average bank balance over last financial year per person applying.

Obviously after Brexit (if / when it happens), everything changes, so you’d be well advised to get process underway ASAP
