Hi..

I am interested in this property with Calida homes and there are a few conflicting issues as regards how long this property has been for sale..

It seems through the pictures it's more than 3 years since it was offered for sale and we are are a bit apprehensive to think what state is in as it has been empty for some while.

Hopefully someone locally can provide a bit of information?

Thanks

Jack

If the property is in the Arboleas, Albox, Cantoria areas it’s quite possible it’s illegal.

Check with the local Town Hall as to its legality.

Hi Dave,

took a look on their website, do you have their property reference number?  I live near calle portillo which could be coincidental in regards to property name you mention but properties I see online don't look familiar and often are in the rambla de oria area.

Andy.

Hi Andy..

Thanks.

The ref no is cla6598 calida homes.

Another agent had it for sale and now that has been withdrawn on their site.

The description they had was different to the pictures with calida homes.

Property has also increased in price which seems odd seeing as it's been up for sale for so long.

Dave

Looks nice and familiar too but can't place it at the moment.  Def' in town though and unlikely to be an illegal property due to age and where it is.  Could be that work has been done on it hence the increase or some other reason but says negotiable.  Shame Calida's map option doesn't work but it could be on the furthest part of calle portillo going up the hill.  Best way is to confirm with Calida that the property condition is as reflected in their pictures as it should be otherwise they would be in trouble.  PM me if you like.

Your best option is to get them to bring you out to see it for yourself.  Each agent puts their own price on a property and if the price has gone up it will be because they have added extra on their fees.  It is very very unlikely it will be the person selling especially if it has been empty for so long.  Once you have seen the property you can go into the town hall, ask for Marrisol and hopefully she can find out how long it has been empty.  If you want to meet with Andy or myself, we are here to help.

Thank you so much for your advice and much appreciated I mentioned to the agent about coming over in June.

Their reply was "let's hope it's still for sale"

Dave.

He is trying to push you, if it has not sold yet, I think it will still be available.

If you are interested in it once you have seen it, offer him less than the original price,  lower your price for buying as well otherwise he will try to keep the price high.
