Rubbish.... An arm of PETA in France used violence once when provoked, and the Media have jumped on it ever since.....
Hi Jenny , good to see your still doing your bit . Just seems that the grand national is a once a year thing and enjoyed by millions of people and is part of our lives . They have improved the safety and shortened and softened the fences . Would yourself and L181SKY want to ban all racing either the jumping or flat racing or all sport which includes horses . Show Jumping , polo , eventing, pony club , gymkanas , trecking etc . Still not heard any comment on the use of horses in bullfighting never mind the bulls . Is it because it’s an English thing and people don’t want to rock the boat where they live in Spain . Surely you can’t compare horse racing to bullfighting ?? . Thought for the day . Just joining the debate Jenni hope SKY doesn’t fall on my head . Dev

I use to hack and jump as a young woman, no horses or people were hurt, the jumps were low, the horse were not whipped, The Grand National is all about MONEY, pure and simple, the owners, jockeys, admin, tract owners are all interested in one thing MONEY, they dont give a dam about the welfare of the horse.
I really cant be arsed to debate this any more, everyone knows where I stand, the Peta Petition is there for anyone to sign or not their choice and their own conscious.

Just read a couple of articles about the donkey/ burro taxis in Mijas it’s not very nice reading. Perhaps we could get a petition up on that as well ?

I’d like to see a ban on a lot of things, all of which involve Cruelty to animals. We have no right, they have rights.
