Hi Michael,

Thanks for that info. Just to update anyone that is interested, we have now made an official complaint about the female doctor in Oria Medical centre. We have filled out all the forms, with the help of the nurse there, they now apparently get sent to the Albox Medical centre where a decision will be made. We have asked to be transferred to the male doc in the surgery, as people have spoken highly of him. We are both residents have been for years, incase anyone is wondering.  Stay safe everyone

50% of my salary was paid for National Insurance and income tax!   

When I worked I was a high earner and as mentioned I was a HIGH Income tax Payer and High National Insurance Contributor and a HIGH Charity donor before you get on your high horse!    There was no exaggeration whatsoever!   One of my colleagues paid 70% in Tax and NI, yes we too was a high earner and she to provided HIGH donations to charity and also did a lot of pro bono work too!   Yes you comments are RUDE

Tax Bands in UK :  Upto £12.500        0%

  Then on earnings between     £12,501 to £50,00     20%  

  Then on earnings between   £50,001 to £150,000  40%

   Then on earnings above      £150,001 over           45%

Private pension contributions are taken before tax 

Chartity Donations can be tax free if they are a registered charity.

National Insurance              12%

There is no such thing as a Higher National Insuarnce contributor

    earn over £962 per week and its 2%

Which ever way you work it out you can not pay 50% of wages on Tax and National insuarce that you stated in your first post. 

Private insurance is for treatment it does not cover the cost of medicines.  You have to be a resident and on the Spanish medical system to get the cheapest prescription. Even then not all medicines are included, there are some items not covered.
