Albox has Lidls, Mercadona, soon an Aldi and others plus many small shops so can get everything you need but if want a day out then Lorca is an option or even Almeria just over an hour away where you'll find Primarks, Carrefour etc...

...e town were you can get everything.  It is about 25 minutes from Oria and there is also Olula del rio, we're there is a mercadona and another Spanish supermarket almost opposite.  There is an Iceland at Vera, but that is not cheap.  The prices in Oria shops are very good, they do try to keep the prices down as do the bars.

...hills during the day alone.  People are very friendly and most will smile and say hello unlike back in the UK.  Plenty of walks and places to cycle but it is hilly.  Banks, pharmacy, supermarkets (small), bars, PO, Dr's, bread/cake shop, police station, summer outside pool, animal feed stores, hardware store, garages etc. but pretty much no public transport as is typical in villages here.
