Metalbox is excellent. Real professionals. They saved us so much money when we arrived 13 years ago. High standard of metalwork &Peter and wife just so pleasant. Would recommend without hesitation.

There is a translator in Oria town hall and her name is Marisol.

I have just asked for permission to put up a summer house.

If you are unsure ask at the town hall.  Marisol is up stairs and I have found all the staff very helpful.

My advise is do not chance things as they may backfire.

Can't help you in the main but we do know that the laws have changed markedly over recent years. Friends of ours had to  pay retroactively when they reformed without a building permit and were only saved in that the Town Hall in Huercal Overa had mislaid their application years before. The C...

Sorry but as with the Caravan it can be a legal maze out here and If nothing else I think you need formal legal advice. I know it's a way to travel but you can get an appointment and opinion from Mr. Davies a well respected Brit Solicitor in Mojacar who we have used effectively for guidance several times. The opinion/ guidance used to be 50€/appt but you will know definitely. Take all your documentation, any letters, etc. Sorry can't be of greater assistance as our finca had been legally reformed when we purchased 13 years ago.

Hi Bob & Sandra,

My husband Steve & I are looking to possibly purchase a full renovation project in Rambla de Oria, does Mr Davies still offer legal advice in        Mojocar? If he does is it possible for you to pm me his details please? We're out in Almeria from July 6th 2018 viewing properties and would appreciate any recommendations on good property lawyers. We'll be staying near to Mojocar so if Mr Davies can help us, then we can make an appointment with him for next week.  Many thanks in anticipation.

Also, whist I was on this forum, I was wondering if the Rambla de Oria flooded?? Is it a dry riverbed? Does it cover a very large area? If anyone can offer any advise about this area, including the worst case scenario but more specifically about the local villages, places to eat, drink, learn Spanish (although we're booking intensive lessons before we relocate in the next few weeks) local beauty spots etc. We're also looking to set up a B&B and again any advice will be gratefully received, any information that we gather will help us so that we can ask the right questions with a legal representative. If any of you lovely people have any other recommendations for a good property lawyer then that would be great!

Sorry for lots of questions and asking for recommendations but we're feeling quite giddy as our dream is getting closer and closer, UK home on the market - yes! Business currently under offer-yes! Exciting times ahead however happy to be brought back to earth by any advice, cautionary tales and happy ever after stories.

Cheers Jo & Steve x
