there is always water in the lakes for fishing etc. If weather is bad then you can always go to Lorca or Aguilas to the castles and museums.
We have been to Baza area quite recently mid-May. The Embalse de Negratin was about 10% full according to a local official. The thermal pool near the Jabalcon Zucar round restaurant above with the thermal swimming pool was open 10 .30 - 1600hrs People were walking down the slope to the old Roman thermal pool below. Although the “lake” looks that much emptier it is not possible to walk across. Too many wet areas because of running streams. The lakeside restaurant at the Freila Cabanuela end is closed.
The thermal pool near Tijola on the A334 has an open thermal swimming pool at Sela and is open, so was one of the restaurant/cafe next to the pool.
The thermal pools at the Hotel complex near Archena just off the A30 from Murcia is open, but you have to pay. Best to stay there for a couple of days.
The outside thermal pools at the Fortuna Hotel angain near Murcia are open but are more expensive.
Go have fun…. We do
