We use transfer wise thay are always on the spot on with the rates would recommend them . Buy the way l to have dyslexia numbers and spelling  but don't let this stop you . You will find a way that suits you. Chin up and go get that villa.

I can add a couple of comments, I used currencies direct they said that there can be charges by the buyers bank if the sterling had to be transferred overseas. They take the money into their UK bank account transfer internally and send Euro from their to my Spanish bank. With relation to Spanish banks I have heard of significant charges transfer the money to the solicitor.

Finally most banks seem to have charges mine is 4.5E a month but there are some who don't charge.

I was Hello to you.  Do yourself a favor and down load the App (Transfer Wise) they are very very good fast and the best rates out there. I was recommended to the App. 

I transfer £5000 a time with NO Problems.

In answer to your bank.... I bank with

Santander only because there app on mobile is easy to use.   Very good

I am not sure you can actually say they are the best rates because compared to someone like Revolut which gives the actual interbank rate they are also going to be worse.
