Garrucha market was on this week, and will be next week unless anything changes, has great fruit and veg, as does Villaricos. Regarding oranges specifically, they are out of season for just about 3 months locally, and should be plentiful and local again by Christmas.

good idea you'll find growing your own easy.  don't try to eat the oranges on the trees on the streets as they are bitter, we would make marmalade from them.

Living here has been great, I am learning so much all the time! 

And I will try the local producers if I find them, sounds the type of thing I like!

Yes you will find it's pretty much you get fruit and veg in season and not the tasteless cold store stuff that you have from Tesco.
