You’re quite right. Addressing BoZo as “Herr” confers a level of leadership and respect he simply doesn’t have.

Matthew - please remember that BoZo doesn’t possess any of the teutonic precision, sharp-mindedness, efficiency or indeed intelligence that the German word for “Mister” would confer.  He is a clown, and not a very good one at that .... 

Back to the subject of this thread.  It’s an interesting piece, it is of course journalism and the author displays a bit of bias so bear that in mind and read accordingly - but it does raise some interesting points - most importantly about the understanding on “herd immunity”

Covid-19 latest Republic of Ireland:- Every pub (including bars in hotels) closed today (5.00pm)  until at least 29th March. And St-Patrick's Day is Tuesday 17th. Now there's an Irish sacrifice. And Herr Whatshisname remains sitting on his hands . . . 

Herd immunity Matthew, herd immunity.  BoZo sits on his hands simply because as much as he’d like to be well versed in the ways of Oman, he lacks the requisite co-ordination .....
