Hi Carol

I do not know the area personally however my ex partner bought his new place from an on-line viewing and has had no issues at all.

I am sorry that you first experience on this forum has been met with negativity and doubt.

Keep your glass half full sweetness- I hope your place fulfils your aspirations.

Good luck sweetheart x

I am not stirring any pots simply trying to put someone who isn’t in the country’s mind at ease.

The purpose of this forum is primarily to help, to give advice where necessary.

It’s all well and good decrying the “negativity”, but for the love of the gods, at least be honest about the issues that CAN be experienced here, as I know that for those that have bought property sight unseen with no issues, there are an equal number that have had some issue either in the buying process or with the property itself once purchased.  Lack of necessary permits that somehow were missed by either estate agents or solicitors is one that springs to mind.  Being at Cuevas Negras, that of course won’t be an issue, but it serves to highlight that the process of purchasing property here can be a minefield.

As I now say for the THIRD time, I am certain the OP will have no issues at all, but in order to throw a bucket of reality over the thread, my advice stands.

Yes Dario, but when the deed is already done, signed and sealed (so I understand) why spoil things with negative comments?  That's the way I see it anyway.

what do you mean 'type of people' that is a very broad derogative remark about people who are just trying to be helpful and hopefully are trying to give some constructive advice which can be ignored or taken at the OPs discression.  If you buy sight unseen in person then it can be ok but equally it has been a bad experience for others.  (I have experiences 16 years of frustration buy buying without thinking it would be a problem off plan , never again] I would never wish it to be the latter for anyone and hope that the OPs has a very happy time when they finally can come to their new holiday home.
