Good afternoon all . My husband and I have bought a park home on Cueva Negra Mojacar .

Can I ask if there is anyone who lives there on this forum ?

We can’t get over at the moment because of the restrictions and we are looking for someone who would not mind keeping an eye on the home when we are not there ?

We would pay the person .

Thanks for taking time to read this and any help would be gratefully appreciated .

can't believe you went ahead and bought it on line if your previous message is correct.  it could be a complete wreck so good luck you may need it.  It is quite a way out from Mojacar as well if it's where I think it is.

Yes we did . We had someone look at it for us and also a virtual viewing with the owner . We are very happy with our  decision (can’t believe you went ahead ) not sure what that means . But thanks for your feedback

just hope that you are very happy in the end with your decision, I think you will find that most of the users of this forum would have strongly advised against taking the steps you have to get a parkhome here.  Or any type of property without seeing it yourselves first are you going to use it as a holiday home?

I understand what Alicia is saying.  Buying a place sight unseen here can be fraught with … challenges…  I’m sure everything will be fine, but it will be worth getting someone known to you and with no connection whatsoever to whichever estate agent you used to actually go and physically inspect the place and take photos of the actual property.

Again, I’m sure there was nothing even slightly wrong … but you have absolutely no proof whatsoever that the place you did a virtual viewing of is the place you actually brought.

This forum will I’m sure provide a wealth of information from people who bought sight unseen and got a little bit stung - or a lot stung, come to that.

The only advice I can offer is that already given - get someone known to you and trusted to actually visit the property.

Oh … right, is it the one on the AL-5107 coast road heading from Mojácar to Carbonaras? Just before you head into the National park? Yow! Yep, that certainly isn’t Mojácar

Wow what a miserable lot!  Give cautious advice in advance of any purchase, great, but why pour buckets of water on someone who  has already bought? I am sure she has seen a map as to location, she said: 'We had someone look at it for us and also a virtual viewing with the owner', it is probably great and how really exciting to dream of visiting it as owner!  I hope it is glorious Carol and fulfils your dreams - nothing is perfect but if your glass is half full , ignore those who predict it will be half empty!

Maybe wait until you get there and then ask one of your neighbours.  I am sure that someone will be happy to help.  It is possible to walk to mojacar from there.  The scenery is stunning.  You will make lots of lovely memories.  Enjoy planning your time in your new home.  You will love it.

Thank you . I had a. virtual tour from the office of Spanish property services to the park from there office in Mojacar . I saw how far it was and also looked at maps for the area and distance from everything . I did not expect some negativity on here from some people . We are hoping to make great memories in Spain . Always our dream . X
