Good racing yesterday, but alas no winners for me. Conditions were wet to say the least with the ground ploughed up during the racing. Weather to be somewhat better today and looking forward to another historic occasion.

Aintree Day 3 - Grand National Day

1.45  Calico 18/1+

2.25  Outlaw Porter 10/1

3.00  Uncle Bert 50/1 ew

3.35 Brewin'upastorm 25/1 ew

4.15  Gold Cup Bailly 12/1

5.15 Ain't that a shame 9/1 (25/1)

        Coko Beach 25/1 (40/1) ew

        Mr Incredible 12/1 (14/1)

Brackets denote last week's price

6.20  Blizzard of Oz 6/1

I have relegated Corach Rambler from my selections but promoted Fury Road @ 33/1 for an ew bet. Note some bookies pay of first six horses.

Mrs Matt's The Shunter was withdrawn and she is now placing her hopes on Hill Sixteen 66/1 ew. Again you now know which horse not to back.

Best of Luck to Everybody and fun bets only please.

Here we go . Bloody protesters spoiling the racing . There are 45,000 people at aintree enjoying a day out . People are allowed to protest but do it peacefully . Without horse racing thousands of horses would be put down and thousands people would lose their jobs . Race horses are kept in wonderful conditions with loving caring grooms . Now because of these pratts the horses in the parade ring are getting upset . They claim to be doing this for animal welfare and the poor horses are getting agitated and so is the crowd . Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I agree with everything Devo said. The loony protesters didn’t get their way. Even the Liverpool locals assisted  the police in keeping law and order and ensured another terrific occasion wasn’t spoiled.

bet you wish you had left Corach Rambler in the running.  I do think that there are too many runners in the grand national they could cut out at least 6 and it would still be a good race and safer so that all the loose horses are not running the race and causing problems.  Sadly a horse died and 2 others have already died so far in other races.

The protestors have their point but go the wrong way about making it horses are bred for racing and run in herds so it's natural to them but if they aren't good enough for the race they shouldn't be run.

Just wondering why it is not allowed to use my internet bookies account to have a bet on horses running in uk . I have always kept horses and enjoy the odd bet and trip to my local racecourse. I was here for a month including when Cheltenham was on . In my mind the best national hunt meeting anyw...

...here . The only way I could place a bet was by contacting one of my daughters to put a bet on for me back in the uk . Ok as long as they weren’t on a phone conference ,etc . Before you all start saying I shouldn’t advocate betting. I know there a problems with gambling and people get hooked on it . Bulk of it being the casino style betting .     Back to original question. Why can’t I use my internet bookies account . People use the internet for a lot worse .

I found that if you don’t use the app but log in on the website you can then place bets.

Works for me.
