Hello Mandy/Michael,
I just have a question that's been worrying us, I hope you can help.
When you take out the private health insurance, do you have the option to cancel without any penalties if your application was unsuccessful for any reason ?.

Hi Chris I was talking to Mark from ASSSA health Insurance and I asked him the same question, he said that you have to take out the health Insurance and pay for it but if your visa is refused you will get a refund, hope this helps, I am just starting to get paperwork together. Good luck Graham.
Hi Chris
I think Graham has answered your question and thank you Graham as this was also something we hadn't enquired about and also had concerns about. Let us all hope that a refund will not be necessary for any of us. Good luck to us all ππ€

Hi - can someone explain how to get around the fact that you have to have an address in Spain when applying for NLV, if you haven't actually purchased a property yet?.
Thanks in advance

Hi Chris,
If you are applying for an NLV you must be going to live somewhere in Spain, rental I'm guessing, so just book somewhere and that will be your address in Spain.

I imagine the only problem there with renting is the dreaded 90 day stay if one cannot manage to get all the paperwork completed in time before you have to leave the island, or am I wrong lol.

If you are granted an NLV that is a one year visa, renewable every two years.

Correct - once the NLV is granted, you are no longer subject to the 90 day rule. The NLV is a long-term visa
