Try ringing in to make a booking , keep it flexible and see what they offer. We allways book a week or 2 before we travel. Soon as you try booking on line with pet it says no availability.

Thanks! I will do that!

Is there a good number to call? Or just the one on their website?

Brilliant, thanks for that!

you wouldn’t happen to know if is better by Eurotunnel or Dover Calais (animals being involved)?

I assume then all Ibis hotels are cat friendly?

Marcia

Yes.  They've had no problem at all.  The cat (they've only one now) sleeps on the bed with them.  When they get to the room, they put a loo tray in the bathroom and let the cat out of the carrier.  They came every year with this cat to stay for a few months in their home in the sun, until Covid stopped that this year.

Thanks James

Do you use pet friendly cabin? They say they don’t have one in September when we go so I don’t know what to do with my cats if we use Brittany Ferries?

Marcia

As I said in my last post if you phone them direct, rather than going on line, much better doing it the old fashioned way.

The only objection I have is not every body allows pets to sleep on the bed, I my self have a small dog and would never dream of leting my dog on the bed, the floor is the place for dogs and cats, and would hopefully every pet owner respects it, other people have to sleep on the beds after you.

Hi John99

I believe you’re talking about the hotels right? If Brittany Ferries have pet friendly cabins it will difficult to control who let their pet on the pet or not. Well same for hotels. If they are pet friendly ..

I know how clean I am and would leave the room as clean as I find it. But I know not everyone is the same.

I was actually refuring to britany ferries Portsmouth to Spain we used to use the ferry ie pet friendly cabins, and never let pets go on the bed, I know it's hard to police cabins or hotel rooms as one of the posts say she lets here cat sleep on the bed, which is not very higenic for the next person that as to sleep on the bed.

I've driven that route many times and the best way is to drive down through Bordeaux and cross the border at Bayone. It's a good route and saves going all the way through France to the Spanish border at La Jongera and avoids going near Lyon which can be a nightmare traffic wise. Good luck.

We don't have that problem now, we live in Spain now, no plans to return to the UK for at least the next 10 years

Hi Kipper

Thanks for that! We’re looking at the map and will follow your tips! Great to know all that.
