See that we still have the same old jingolistic sabre rattlers around spouting the same old unfounded comments. I’m just happy I managed to get rid of my U.K. passport and retain my membership of the European Union.

Yesterday, the pound reached a 2 year high against the Euro. If the UK were economically doing so poorly compared to the EU can any EU supporters explane this phenomenon?

Also could they explain why the UK have the fastest economic recovery of G7 countries?

How convenient that you forget about the previous six years of low exchange rates vs the euro because of Brexit.    Also it is STILL  at least .15 points down on pre Brexit rates. That’s still €150 in every 1k that expats are losing. Thanks brexiteers.

And also lets put the comment about quickest recovery in context, a context which has conveniently been ignored:

"...Britain is headed for the fastest growth in the Group of Seven major economies this year and next but will suffer a setback if supply shortages are allowed to worsen, the OECD said."

There is absolutely no sign at all that anything is being done to rectify supply shortages ... The new Brexit Minister, Lizz Truss, was hailed by one of the Tory rags as "having made a breakthrough".  This was of course merely wishful thinking, no such breakthrough has occurred and the poisoned chalice of Brexit Minister remains very much poisoned.  Poor Liz.  Looks like she won't be taking the top job when B.J. is toppled in the next few days
