And this is what started the conversation. Passports aren't always stamped.

They don't stamp your passport if you show your TIE card. Just saying.

When we went through Alicante yesterday (back to UK) our passports were not scanned or stamped. The guy in the booth simply just looked at them and nothing more. This was for all the flight. Left me wondering if they will think we are still there! I guess they also take information from other places (like when we entered,  health form or through the airline records). Is 'Big brother' bigger than we think. I guess so.

Martin.

Interesting. Unlikely that you could be traced by airline records or passenger location forms which may not be a permanent feature anyway. And besides, each country has its own bespoke form. Any system that isn't reliant on passports will be too messy to be workable and open to abuse. 🤔

Just think, if it wasn’t for those ‘clever’ brexiteers, we wouldn’t be having conversations like this.

This has just appeared on the LOCAL.es site.  “  A UK national whose passport was not stamped by Spanish border officials has been denied entry when attempting to return to the country, highlighting the new issue of passport stamps for Brits travelling to the Schengen Area post-Brexit.  “

Doris,  it’s So sickening how this is turning out. David Cameron has a lot to answer for, imho.   Since when did any political Keep a promise, (before someone jumps in lol.  ).   I wonder if he ever Thinks about it .  Now all the Eastern EU drivers ,nurses, fruit pickers etc etc are coming back in, Was that not the reason given,we wanted less foreigners !   As far as I’m aware,Farmers voted for it, truck drivers voted for it lol
