The hairbrained bit is putting people in hotels, the UK government doesn't even check up on people that have been told to isolate in their own homes, (as admitted last night by a government minister on the news last night) when returning to the UK, so how are they going to police putting people i...

We were checked up on! 6 days after returning home we got a phone call....and thought oh well that's it.....but it wasn't as 2 days later there was a knock on the door, with 2 community police checking up on us! I also know of someone who went out when they called, and was fined! On return to Spain we had the tests and have just been asked to stay in for 7 days....no law! But we have done this gladly.

Well thats good to know, This government minister said, they haven't got enough staff to go around checking, she said some areas were better equipped than others, so sounds like you were in one of the good areas.

Apparently, if you arrive in Britain with nowhere to go, the authorities (boarder control I believe) will arrange accommodation for you, at your expense, and take you there, also at your expense.

You will not be allowed in any public areas, you stay in your room until your quarantine is finished.

As for who’s policing this, I don’t know but, there are plenty of staff that won’t want you wandering about, potentially contaminating them, and other guests

Hi, you can get one at the ev medical centre in vera. It's at the roundabout where the bullring is. You get the results in 48 hours and the price is 140 euros.

Why is it 'hairbrained' when entering UK....But when you return to Spain and have needed one for a month now?....You think that is OK? We paid £240 each for ours to return home to Los Gallardos after being in UK for Christmas.....(goodness knows why we went, but hey ho we did)....and needed a re...

Hi

Hope anyone can help please.  We are planning to come to our apartment in March, always drive, our understanding is we must have the PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival, the ferry leaves Portsmouth 10pm Thursday, arrives Monday in Spain at 8am, journey is 34 hours, test results take 24--48 hours, so we would need to have the test done in Portsmouth on Wednesday and spend the night in Portsmouth BUT all clinics state results 24/48 hours, this is like one of the children's maths tests?   Does anyone have any ideas for us please.

Hi, if the journey takes 34 hours  wouldn't  it arrive on Saturday at 8 am?  Get the test on Wednesday and see if you get the results before you leave on thursday. If not get them to send you the results to your email on Friday?

Wednesday 8am- Saturday8am =72 hours. So if you get a test after 8 on Wednesday you will be in 72 hour frame rate
