I have a very fast internet connection. It's through a 4G router via Telitec and I usually get between 60 to 75 Megs. I thoroughly recommend them and suggest that before you go to NEXT and all the others offering 3 or 4 Megs, call Telitec on 965 74 34 73 or 902 88 90 70. They have many Brits working for them who will tell you what they can provide.

I have no landline - nor a special antenna. The signal comes straight through my wall to the 4G router...

Regarding the VPN that has been touched on, this link will give an insight into it, allbeit from a netflix perspective. There are some links from this page that might be of interest:

I live in Mojacar village and have a big (1.9 metre) satellite dish and a very fast 4G broadband (up to 70 gigs).

As well as UK TV, I like the documentary channels such as PBS, History and Yesterday...etc...

At the moment I get all UK TV okay (but not in HD) and also PBS, which I love but is often pixelated...

My question is: can I get all these channels (UK TV, PBS, Yesterday, History Channel..etc..etc) that I want, but through the internet - without buffering or pixelation..???

If you know about this, please let me know. I just want to be able to watch these channels, whatever the weather..!

I am moving to macenas soon. I may bring my   satellite dish with me. Could you let me know who your supply is?

Cheers

Hi L181SKY,

Sorry about the 'tecky' stuff in the last post, it was meant to show that there are many many options here and if you have a clear idea of what you want, then by getting some good advise you will get a solution that is sustainable and doesn't blow the budget.

Before getting in touch with one of the ISPs in the Mojacar area I think you should try your laptop on a friends or in one of the bars.

Kodi works here in Spain but you will find that some of the streams might be missing and others might appear. It's all to do with this geolocation stuff.

Also, Next are a 'line of sight' so I guess it depends where you are in Beda as to whether you can use them.

Hi I have a kodi box in England that works perfect will it work OK in Spain or will it need to be set up again,

Hi,

I believe the short answer is yes, it will work as Kodi didn't ever seem to suffer from the 'geolocation', issues that you would see if you tried to watch say BBC iPlayer outside of the UK without a VPN. You might find some of the streams are not available as that was certainly my experience.

I was a great fan of Kodi and although I knew it was 'naughty' to use for streaming, of course, I did use it. But it stopped working (I think it was due to an upgrade I did) and in the end I gave up. At the same time, one of my brothers and one of my daughters have never had any issues and still use it today.

I have since discovered something called 'showbox' ( try this on an android device, or find it for your preferred device https://show-box.en.uptodown.com/android ), which I have not tried in Spain yet. It will work fine on the newer firestick, the older fire stick causes a jerky picture. (You will also need something called 'Mouse Toggle for Fire TV' which does take some getting used to.)

Kodi hit all sorts of trouble last year and got so much bad press, but if its still working for you and it should be fine in Spain then its a win all round.

As for 'showbox', I have repeatedly tried to discover how legal it actually is and to this day I am still not too sure. You will get both sides of the story on google. Its hard to believe it is legal when there are so many films and TV shows readily available!!!

Hope this helps

Hello,I would like to recommend speaking to IPTV U.K. ([email protected]). I have recently bought a firestick including 12months subscription for €159 and has everything you have mentioned and more with brilliant 24/7 support for the technophobes amongst us 😉. I have attached a photo of the leaflet I got left. Hope this is ok as I’m new to the forum. Good luck just wanted to share my experience as I’ve very pleased with it.

Now getting my TV through the internet and recently had Movistar fibre optic internet, fitted. A guy at Fortec (Movistar's internet supplier) called Steve Day has provided me, through my MAG 250 box, with many UK and American channels with no buffering, freezing or pixelation...!

At last got a TV service that works all the time (so far!)...

Thanks for your help...

I live just outside of Mojacar approx. 8 minutes.  Does anyone know of a GOOD TV/telephone/computer chap who if problems can attend or do remote help?  I work from home so really does need to be a proper business not a hobby!!  There are a few of us in the team that would benefit from whoever this turns out to be!!  I would like recommendations.

Thanks Lynne
