We are both pensioners aged 70 and 67. Although my husband already has his NIE from 12 years ago, I don't. We recently moved here and are renting for a year, we both have padrons. He has opened a bank account. Do I need to have an NIE before we can both apply for the TIEs?

Hi I'm applying without my NIE and my partner is applying with his. They will just issue yours with your residencia I believe.

Thank you we are seeing a gestoria soon, but do we need to have 12,000 euros deposited in the bank jointly or 6,000euros each as my husband opened a bank account but without my NIE or TIE I cant be added onto his account.

I opened my own account at unicaja using my passport and my last P60 from when I was in the UK (some banks will do it without the P60, I think Sabadell do) then I transferred €6000 in and the bank printed me off a certificate. It was really easy once I knew what I needed
