Ok....So here is one for you all....We are going to UK for a wedding etc next month, and I am so confused with the day 2....day 5 quick release....day 8 (expensive!) tests....I am clear on everything else but what I need to know is if we bought the day 2 and quick release day 5 tests...Do we need to also have a day 8 test as we will have already been released back into the wild so to speak!.

At the moment you still have to pay for day 8 even though you pay for day 5 release. So yes 3 tests on top of antigen test you need to do in Spain before you get on the plane.

It just seems a little mad to me that we will be able to go out....therefore able to spread the disease after 5 days....then on the eighth day they test you again!!!!! Also you can buy just test day 2 kits.....so confused....Just hoped I could find something legal to confirm this....but no luck so far!

All on uk government website.  Can also find links via airline site.  It is confusing and expensive.  Good luck.

Yes Ryanair have sent us a link for cheap tests, and with their usual efficiency they have sent us ...'From the UK to the Algarve and return'.....We fly to UK from Alicante....LOL
