I can recommend the Los Blancos area in Chirivel. A small village next to Chirivel (5km) with a large English community.
In Chirivel you have supermarkets and bars, as well as all the public services of a typical Spanish town. Seasonal festivals, doctor (24 hours), pharmacy, lots of nature and various sports activities.
It is a super sunny area and honestly very pleasant to live. With sunny and dry winters. Sunny summers during the day and very cool at night.
With the change in weather in recent years, it doesn't usually snow here. But, as they tell you above, the buildings here are usually well insulated. The average weather here is always sunny, so even if it is cold in winter, the sun always warms you.
With houses available and fully equipped apartments also available.
I advise you to check out the Los Blancos Hill Resort community. An oasis of tranquility in the sunny mountains. More than 40 homes with many English-speaking neighbors.
